In depth

Formwatch

Montecristo Fair performer with turn of foot at best but may struggle under welter burden.

Carousing Well below his best of late and is hard to seriously fancy.

Prairie Falcon (IRE) Useful staying handicapper (has won twice this term) who prefers fast ground and is on aq winning mark; should go well.

Accepting Disappointed latest but on same mark as when successful over C&D in June.

Missouri Gained due reward for consistency in Ayr handicap latest; capable of more improvement but now 10lb higher.

You're Special (USA) Just 2lb higher than when winning this event twelve months ago but may need more rain to be seen at his best.

Xellance (IRE) Has had his problems since winning eight in 2000; better effort latest; not without claims.

Il Cavaliere Landed Redcar handicap latest after strong of placed efforts but has more to do off 7lb higher mark.

Conquestadora Had been progressing nicely in testing conditions (won maiden and two staying handicaps) before flopping as favourite at York; should stay and worth another chance.

Perpetuo Ultra consistent performer who handles any ground; excellent 2nd of 22 in York handicap latest (races off same mark); sure to go well once again.

Mental Pressure All three wins have come at Redcar and below best of late.

Allez Mousson Stays well and has won three handicaps this term but well beaten latest and not easy to predict.

C'Est Fantastique (IRE) Difficult to fancy in this company.

Chemicalattraction (IRE) Progressive performer on soft ground winning at both Hamilton and Catterick; raised just 4lb for latest win but steps up markedly in trip; unproven stamina is of concern.

Lady Laureate In fair form of late and stays this trip but would not want too much rain.

Renaissance Lady (IRE) Each way claims on earlier form but well below par latest.

Mr Fortywinks (IRE) Goes well in the mud and well treated on pick of form; not disgraced latest and has place claims if heavens open.
