      Verdict

      Roderick has a solid sprinting pedigree and is a half-brother to three winners but he only cost 8,500gns and the three with experience set a decent standard. Woodside Wonder hinted at ability at Hamilton and twice-raced pair BALLISTIC and Capitan James look capable of winning races. Bob Cowell’s Kodiac colt gets the nod even though he looks as though he’ll be suited by stepping up a furlong. Hard Solution cost 80,000gns and is related to a host of winners but most of them improved with age, though market support would be significant.
