In depth

Verdict

Three contenders with form and they can be expected to improve and play a leading role here. The nomination is Just The Lady, hailing from a yard that are renowned for early season juveniles and she shaped with some promise at Folkestone, toeing the field along for most of the journey before giving way inside the final furlong. The fourth has since shaped well at Newcastle. Drawn wide, the selection will need to get a break but that first outing should stand her in good sted. There is not much to choose between Dispol Mulofky and Count Almaviva from their Southwell clash but on the turf there is a possibility the form could be turned round. The Linda Stubbs stable landed a gamble at Newcastle for connections, so support for Russet Reward would be noted. Just The Lady is taken to benefit for that debut outing and land the opener.
