    Verdict

BEDROCK won twice on the Flat and completed a double over hurdles last year when trained by Dan Skelton. His last two runs in the autumn were at Cheltenham behind smart performers and this looks his chance to get back to winning ways. The Steward will be receiving plenty of weight and showed when runner-up at Catterick there are races to be won with him while The Road Home won a maiden over the minimum here in January before beaten over this trip later where his rider weighed in light. Ballycrystal Court won a novices' hurdle over the course and distance but that was on much quicker ground than he'll face here.
