In depth

Verdict

Majestic Moon completed a hat-trick last summer in tremendous fashion by landing a very strong Goodwood handicap. He competed with credit in three tough events subsequently and should be ready to get back on the winning trail soon. However, he's on the same mark as the race-fit THAT'S PLENTY, three times a winner on Polytrack last year who showed he's just as effective on Turf with a narrow defeat by Stuccodor in the Irish Lincoln and it's Pat Shanahan's charge who gets the nod. Lazarus Bell reappeared with a good run behind Kiwi Bay at Redcar and is at the right end of the handicap but the main threat may emerge in the shape of Kalk Bay, who makes a quick reappearance after finishing very strongly at Pontefract on Monday where he didn't get the clearest of runs.
