Verdict

Society Music and Indibraun look the two to focus on here, and we give the narrow vote to Society Music. The selection won well on her Pontefract debut on soft going, and indicated there a longer trip would suit her. Stepped up to six furlongs next time she ran respectably at the same track behind Tony James. Given that that colt went on to finish fourth in Royal Ascot's Coventry Stakes, the form looks solid and, accordingly, she gets our vote. Indibraun finished a short head behind her that day and meets on the same terms today, so there should not be too much between them Forfeiter improved for the step up to today's trip when finding only Stedfast McStaunch too good for him at Thirsk last time, and he is entitled to respect today. Of the others, Spinnakers Girl made late headway on her debut and should appreciate the seventh furlong today but, for today, we will side with Society Music.
