In depth

Verdict

Although Dontpaytheferryman wouldn't be winning out of turn in this handicap GRANDAD BILL looks well weighted so is given the verdict while That'll Do Nicely looks over priced on the forecast market. On the whole the selection is a consistent sort who has finally been given a chance by the assessor after finding a couple too good last time. His form behind Joe Joe Star three start ago adds further claims to his cause and his last attempt over course and distance ended in victory off a seven pounds heavier burden in similar conditions. Dontpaytheferryman has an excellent strike rate over obstacles but keeps finding one too good on the level. Another prominent showing is expected off a competitive mark. That'll Do Nicely is now weighted to make a bold bid at just a pound above his last winning rating so looks value for getting amongst the prize money. Only tose with long memories can remember Bed Fellow's last win but if, as he hinted last time, he is finding a little bit of form he is weighted to go well. Very competitive stuff this and Grandad Bill just looks best.
