Verdict

An interesting little contest can go to Aspen Falls, who has a solid chance at the weights and is just preferred over Flying Key and Gymbolini. The last named came up against a well-primed rival at York last week and was far from disgraced in defeat. The step up seven furlongs should suit and he is one to bear in mind if supported. Flying Key should also appreciate the extra distance tonight and looks sure to make this a good test. Her connections shelled out 11,500gns for her after she won a seller at Thirsk and the betting market will be a good guide as to whether her connections think she is capable of starting to pay her way tonight. However, Sir Mark Prescott had several options for this race at the five-day stage and we trust his judgement by expecting Aspen Falls to be the right choice to strike for the Newmarket-based maestro here.
