Verdict

Nicky Richards has an excellent record with his annual juvenile hurdle recruit from Kevin Prendergast's Curragh base and HOUSTON DYNIMO, this years recruit can further improve that record before going onto better things. Faasel, Premier Dane and Tamini's History are among the horses that have been recruited to Richards Cumbria base and Houston Dynimo, who was verging on listed class on the flat despite being ultra frustrating, should be all the better for his initial hurdling experience. The form of that race was given a boost at Wetherby on Wednesday when Banquet, fourth in that Newcastle race, won in good style. Held-up at Newcastle, presumably because stamina concerns were existent, he saw out the trip well and ridden with more confidence here, he should win it. Call Me Al was rated far inferior to Houston Dynimo on the flat and ran respectably on his hurdling debut when a never nearer fourth. The front two in that race look two smart sorts, the second Tharawaat having won very easily at the weekend. Don't Stop Me Now, a winner over 1m 6f on the flat was the stable second string when making her hurdling debut at Wetherby. She jumped well in the main but it was a decent contest. This looks a more realistic level for Howard Johnson's charge. La Fortalesa beat Houston Dynimo at Newcastle but under his penalty, looks to face a stiff task. On a positive note he clearly improved for his hurdling experience and if he proves himself the type of juvenile hurdler that improves for racing, he is certainly a contender. Of the remainder, George Foster saddles three runners of whom it would be surprising of they were up to the task on their first attempt at hurdling and Houston Dynimo is the one to beat.
