Verdict

TOSHI gets the vote in this amateur riders' handicap and he is nominated over Mystified and The Buck. The selection returns to the level after a spell over hurdles. He won on his last start on the Flat when he got the better of Inspector Clouseau. He still looks very well treated on the pick of his flat form and he gets on well with today's rider so he looks to have a big chance. Mystified has not been out of the first two in his last seven starts so he makes obvious appeal. He is dropped in trip today which will not inconvenience him and he should be capable of once again making the frame. The Buck has shown his best form over further than this and it is a worry that he has yet to open his account on the level. Hurricane Thomas hails from a yard in good form and he was far from disgraced at Pontefract last time in a race won by Gala Sunday. He could go well at a price, but Toshi looks a safer bet and he can provide trainer Jim Goldie with another Musselburgh winner.
