Verdict

Aidan O'Brien won the first running with subsequent Group 1 runner-up Due Diligence and has the progressive The Happy Prince engaged this time, though he'll need to make big strides from his narrow victory in a handicap here last month. TOSCANINI, runner-up to Gleneagles in the National Stakes in September, reappeared with a straightforward task in a conditions race over at Navan and duly obliged with Beach Belle around three lengths back in third. He has bigger fish to fry this season and can book his place at Royal Ascot with a victory here. Anthem Alexander beat Tiggy Wiggy in the Queen Mary before finding that opponent too strong in top events at York and Newmarket. She has pace to burn and could quite easily turn out to be a sprinting star this season.
