I Will Excel has been narrowly beaten twice here in recent weeks and, though still a maiden after 18 starts, it could be his turn today. However, FAST IN THE WIND had Dark Alliance three lengths behind at Fairyhouse before attempting to overcome an 8lb rise in a premier handicap at the Curragh where he wasn't beaten far. He's been dropped 4lb from that and can resume winning ways. Oor Jock, the only course and distance winner in the line-up, hasn't won for two years but has dropped to a fair mark as a consequence so is expected to give a good account.
