Verdict

This has attracted a much classier line-up than could have been envisaged. Ger Lyons has won four of the last five and official ratings point to ENDLESS DRAMA continuing the sequence. Runner-up to Gleneagles in last year's Irish 2,000 Guineas, he returned to action after a long break with a close third in the Lockinge at Newbury before finishing mid-division in the Queen Anne Stakes. This is a warm-up for much better things and he should pass the test. Aidan O'Brien runs the three-year-olds Bravery and General Macarthur. The former has been mixing it with the best on soft going including when last in the Eclipse so he'll appreciate the huge drop in class while the latter probably has a good race in him though he has a bit to find here. Wychwood Warrior is a very smart performer on his day and though he's only won at Dundalk he's twice been placed at Listed level on Turf. Seanie has yet to rediscover his form and takes on smart opposition.
