Desert Romance is very much a specialist miler and all of his three victories have been over the trip. He found the 7f at Fairyhouse just too short last time and must be a threat despite his big weight. However, he is held by ANAM CHARA on their run behind Spirit Of Xaar at Fairyhouse and Andy Oliver's filly gets the nod as she again ran well behind Bean Uasal on her subsequent start at Tipperary. Maybe Grace appeared to enjoy stepping up to 1m2f at Fairyhouse last time and is 8lbs higher but the consistent Inwood is held by Desert Romance on their run over the C&D last month. Rainforest Magic has shown a glimmer of ability and begins his handicap career on such a lowly mark that he's worth noting in the betting.
