Hareth, a winner on the Flat and over timber for Charlie Swan, was well supported on his second start for Charles Byrnes at Limerick last month but couldn't get to the leading pair and was eventually well beaten. It's almost a year since Courtly Conduct finished runner-up at Ballinrobe so he's likely to need this while Broughtons Star has become expensive to follow since joining Gordon Elliott and was beaten when unseating his rider at Tramore on New Year's Day. His stablemate Canova has had a dozen starts over hurdles and been placed once so he's overlooked. Russian Roulette would have every chance at his best though he's done better on much quicker ground so the vote goes to THE IRRITATOR.
