In depth

Verdict

Plenty with chances in a very tough Grade B handicap. TOUT EST PERMIS has been racing over fences since he was four, winning four times and not beaten far behind The Storyteller in Grade 1 company at Down Royal last time. He's only won once over timber but was third in the Pertemps at Cheltenham in March and arrives here on a 22lb lower mark than over fences. Shattered Love is another chaser on a lowly mark back over timber and Gavin Brouder's claim is a real bonus in a race like this. His stable has two other entries while Willie Mullins runs seven with Paul Townend choosing Sayo, who looked very progressive when scoring at Kilbeggan. Any Second Now is another chaser who won last year's Kim Muir at Cheltenham and a Grade 3 at Naas in February so has to be greatly respected coming here on a 12lb lower mark.
