Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won four of the last seven, all of them short-priced favourites. PROSPECTOR is the Ballydoyle representative this time and though well beaten on his belated debut at Roscommon last week the $1.4m yearling, a half-brother to numerous winners including Mastercraftsman, will be expected to have made enough progress to lose his maiden tag. Jer's Girl was a 33/1 chance when runner-up on her debut on heavy going at Sligo in May and it's a concern that she hasn't been seen since while the likes of Angel Bay, Secundos Out and Vintage Charm have all had enough chances and are thoroughly exposed.
