Ballydoyle have won three of the last four including with Marvellous a year ago. She was making her racecourse debut as are this season's three representatives and all, naturally, are superbly bred. On A Pedestal is by Montjeu and a half-sister to seven winners while Easter and Diamond Bangle are both daughters of Galileo and the latter is a sister to the brilliant Rip Van Winkle. Any one of the trio could prevail here but experience may count and several of the entries have strong form to recommend them. Pioneer Alexander is certain to benefit from her opening run and Pour Deux showed real promise in a strong maiden at the Curragh. The latter was only a length behind the useful Tamadhor that day and is closely matched with Bocca Baciata, who was the same distance behind Kevin Prendergast's filly at Leopardstown. GUSSY GOOSE cost 200,000gns and has had all of her three starts to date over six furlongs.
