Kickham has only had three runs and not shown much but starts out in handicaps from a lowly mark. Western Goose is one of only two distance winners and looked on her way back to form at Punchestown so expect her to go well though it's the other winner over the trip, THE CHURCH GATE (NAP), who can land this. He went to Thurles last month on a 17lb lower mark than his chase rating and won with something in hand from today's rival Glenabo Bridge. An 8lb rise should bring the pair closer but the winner is taken to complete a quick double. Wee Small Hours was only just caught in a huge field over the course and distance in September and his subsequent runs have been over fences but Skellig Rocks is still a maiden though he ran very well over 3m at Down Royal last time and is well handicapped compared to his chase mark. Pack Your Bags finished runner-up in that latter event and needs a thorough test of stamina which he should get here so he can get into the money.
