In depth

Verdict

EARLY CALL loves this stiff track and his last two visits have resulted in victories, the latest over a big field on fast ground in September. He's just 4lb higher and can score again. Edessann has joined Joseph O'Brien from the UK where he didn't win but showed improved form at Newcastle following wind surgery. Billyfairplay, four-times a winner on the all-weather, hasn't run on Turf since 2018 but Bellick gained his only Turf victory over this track and trip that year. Teddy Boy was placed twice here last summer before losing his maiden tag at the 17th time of asking over slightly shorter here in October so has to be on the shortlist. Irregardless was engaged in the 4.30 at Leopardstown yesterday.
