In depth

Verdict

ENDLESS INTRIGUE is held in high regard by Dermot Weld and the dual bumper and Flat winner hasn't had much racing for a six-year-old. He'll be fit enough for this and can get his new career off to a successful start. Marlay Park, also the winner of two bumpers, is still a maiden after nine starts over timber which is a real surprise as he has produced several very useful performances and will be better for a fine return behind Fists Of Fury at Thurles. Silverlord, whose second to Oilily at Gowran in June is probably the best form on view, has produced his best efforts on faster ground than he's likely to meet today. Glam Gerry made a very encouraging debut when a close third behind Saville Row at Down Royal but that was over 2m6f and this may prove too short. Mackeys Forge appeared to find 2m4f at Punchestown beyond him last time and is better judged on his earlier form over today's trip.
