In depth

Verdict

Letsbeclearaboutit has been impressive in beating Iniskerry twice while Anglers Crag followed an easy point-to-point victory with a comfortable bumper success at Fairyhouse. SIR GERHARD won a point at Boulta last November by 12 lengths and went for a massive £400,000 at the sales. He could hardly have been more impressive in beating subsequent winner The Banger Doyle in his bumper debut at Down Royal and looks a very smart prospect. The four-year-old Ever Present had two subsequent easy winners behind at Punchestown and is by no means out of this. La Chanteuse ran poorly over timber at Down Royal yesterday.
