Verdict

Elizabeth Browning is by Galileo out of a Ribblesdale winner and a sister to Johannes Vermeer. She'd be worth a fortune at the paddocks with a victory under her belt and shouldn't be written off just yet, though the drop to the minimum trip smacks of desperation. Glenamoy Lad has also mainly raced over further and though runner-up over this course and distance in July he's never looked likely to have the necessary pace for the trip. Ribbons 'n' Roses started off with a good run at Naas in April and didn't reappear until last month when third behind Courage Under Fire on the same track. She was just behind runner-up Porto Ferro but will have needed the run more than her rival and can reverse places. IMAGINE IF makes a quick reappearance after chasing home the odds-on Spirit Of Valor at Naas on Sunday. He made a promising start over this course and distance in May and looks the type to go on to better things.
