Verdict

Noel Meade has won this twice in the past three years and his representative Joe Smooth will attract support though he's only looked moderate in two bumpers to date. Tommy Carberry had a winner at Fairyhouse on Wednesday so his well-connected newcomer Links Course is one to note. Star Of Aragon has been showing promise at Dundalk and this isn't too difficult a task on his hurdling debut though the experience of SOMETHINGDIFFERENT may see him home. Jessica Harrington's charge had run well in bumpers and made a very satisfactory debut over timber when a close sixth behind Si C'Etait Vrai at Naas in October.
