Western Bound looked impressive when scoring twice at Perth in the spring but is now 16lb higher than when beaten into third here in March and has an absence to overcome. Twelfth Of Never has been in good form over fences and reverts to hurdles on a much lower mark while Strange Encounter looked ready to win again soon when a very good fourth at Down Royal before slipping up at Limerick. FIERY OSCAR ran very well when a close third in a tough handicap at Cork early last month and was staying on when falling at the last over 2m at Gowran three weeks later. He's now on a reasonable mark and can take advantage.
