A winner twice on the Flat in Germany, LYVIUS made a successful start to his hurdling career at Kelso. Nicky Henderson's charge hardly came off the bridle that day and should have few problems defying his penalty here and confirming his place in the starting line-up for the Triumph Hurdle. Brilliant Barca and School For Scandal are more exposed, the former being pulled up when the latter finished a remote fifth in the Finale Hurdle at Chepstow over Christmas. Something must have been amiss with Gottany O'S when he was pulled up at Wetherby as he'd shown promise earlier at Doncaster, though he doesn't look an easy ride.
