Verdict

The list of possibles here contains Boxwell, Emirates To Dubai, Mr Excel, Night Crescendo, Savernake Blue and Sharplaw Autumn, with the vote going to Savernake Blue. The selection showed plenty of promise when running very well to be third on his debut here over today's trip. Normal improvement alone should see him land a race of this nature and today might well be the day. Night Crescendo also showed debut promise over course and distance and is one to consider, along with the Godolphin representative, Emirates To Dubai, who is a half-brother to the top-class Mezzo Soprano. A 50,000 guineas gelded son of Orpen, Mr Excel gets a mention, while Sabah is related to a number of winners, and the $135,000 William Haggas runner, Sharplaw Autumn, is another to make some appeal. There are a number of others that also appeal on breeding, but we've had our say now, with the selection, once again, being Savernake Blue.
