Verdict

GLOBAL APPLAUSE made a winning start with an impressive three-length victory at Newmarket under Ryan Moore and the latter keeps the partnership intact. Ed Dunlop’s charge is entered in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and so is Irish raider Medicine Jack, third at Leopardstown for Ger Lyons on last week’s introduction. Mehmas scored at the first time of asking when successful at Chester and Berkshire Boy achieved the same feat at Bath. Mailshot won over the minimum trip at Ponterfact last month and may prove best of the remainder.
