A number of interesting newcomers to note with the likes of Jewel House, Escobar and Red Ensign making appeal on paper but the form achieved by those with experience is of a useful level. Devil's Bridge and Mr Tyrrell provide Richard Hannon with a decent double chance and Salouen has shown a level of ability that should ensure he doesn't remain a maiden this term. Thaaqib should improve on a pleasing debut when only beaten under three lengths by the experienced Spiritous but ASAAS makes most appeal. He travelled well on debut at this track before staying on at one pace in the final furlong and seems sure to come on a bundle for the run. The second and third have already boosted the form with subsequent wins and the booking of Ryan Moore by Roger Varian is a further plus for the son of Distorted Humor.
