In depth

Verdict

Aypeeyes is the selection in the finale with Aegean Prince and Natural Action the alternatives. Alan King's charge has bits and pieces of form on fast ground and having dotted up at Nottingham recently, connections are trying to strike again while the iron is hot. Aegean Prince finished second to Trans Siberian on his latest start so the market is watched in the event of that rival obliging earlier in the day. Natural Action may have competed at slightly lesser levels but his form with rattling fast going is without quibble. Cruise Director is perfectly exposed whilst Mae Cigan often looks unlucky but is infrequently so. Pocketwood has run well recently but has ran lamentably on fast ground starts. Kasban drops back in trip. A competitive closing race and Aypeeyes looks to have a fair chance of following up a recent success.
