Verdict

A tight looking affair on paper may go the way of Wee Dinns, with Cause Celebre, Goodwood Finesse and Gwen John just three tough rivals. This is a tough one to be positive of getting right, but the Sylvester Kirk team continues in fine form, so Wee Dinns should give a good account. Although she has only had seven career starts, three of those have been on this course, and her latest effort at Sandown suggests that she should go close. The daughter of Marju hit the front two furlongs out but was caught right on the line by Mocca, and with her previous second to Prenup at Brighton given a boost since as well, she must surely be in at the finish here, despite the slight raise in grade. Cause Celebre stuck to his task well when holding on at Warwick but has to overcome the burden of topweight, and is not certain to uphold placings with Gwen John who is interesting on her handicap debut. Goodwood Finesse was strongly-ridden to get up over nine furlongs at Goodwood and should appreciate the longer trip, while Tree Tops and Dark Raider are also not to be left out of calculations. A tentative vote goes to Wee Dinns.
