Verdict

This may well develop into a match between AITEEN THIRTYTHREE and Tarablaze. The former was most impressive on his fencing bow, beating Voramar Two by 17 lengths in a Grade 2 over C&D in November and arguably has the most scope. He is preferred to Philip Hobbs' eight-year-old, who also has potential but looks more of an out-and-out stayer and wasn't entirely convincing when beating sole rival Hidden Keel at Exeter in December. Glenwood Knight won over this trip on heavy ground at Uttoxeter in December but fell when favourite at Wetherby last month and is taking on better opposition now. He still looks a better bet than Flight Leader, however, who is now an 11-year-old and still seeking a first chase win after eight attempts.
