Verdict

A 5f maiden to get proceedings underway with a number stables who tend to do well with early season juveniles being represented to add to the conundrum. Peter Chapple-Hymn has his string in superb form and saddles Skid Solo here. Related to some juvenile winners, breeding suggests he will get better with age but in a contest like this, the market will inform of what is expected. He has the benefit of a been drawn beside the rail. Richard Hannon saddles two expensive sorts but jockey bookings fail to determine which of the two is better fancied. Richard Hughes takes the mount on Sun Ship, a Xaar colt, while Ryan Moore partners Roly Boy, a Dansili colt while Brian Meehan introduces a Kyllachy colt, Klynch who is bred to be speedy. A clean slate for these juveniles as they commence their racing careers and while the market can prove useful to finding the winner, we will nominate the Chapple-Hymn colt Skid Solo from his good draw.
