    Verdict

The rallying WHEAT SHEAF would have beaten Rare Rhythm in another stride at Newmarket in October and sets a decent standard in the second division of this maiden. He makes more appeal than Sahaafy while Karnage, Laurence and Victoriously have plenty of improvement to find. But there are a host of nicely-bred newcomers who could cause problems for the selection. John Gosden's Druids Ridge is a half-brother to three winners while Grand Inquisitor's half-brother won over 7f and a mile. Raw Impulse is related to the tough Folly Lodge and all three of Royal Toast's dam's previous offspring have won races.
