In depth

Verdict

Following a promising reappearance at Fontwell, Stoney's Treasure attracted market support over a longer trip here last month. In only finishing fourth, however, he didn't give the impression that today's drop in distance was what's required. Quintero was third on his chase debut at Uttoxeter, finishing one place and almost five lengths ahead of Abey M'Boy. But that form hasn't been franked so we're going to take a chance that THE BOSS will show his true worth now tackling fences. Progressive in a light campaign over hurdles Jeremy Scott's six-year-old, who hails from the same family as high-class staying chaser Young Kenny, has bags of scope and will have had plenty of schooling over the larger obstacles.
