Verdict

This is a trappy maiden to open the card and the vote goes to Mohathab; East Drive and Royal Destination are the others for the shortlist. This colt from the John Gosden stable really does look the part on breeding and with his yard in sparkling form this week he might just be up to making a winning racecourse debut from his favourable high draw. East Drive is nicely-bred he is another that can go well from a positive draw, and it is worth noting that the yard do well in these type of events. Royal Destination is a Dubai Destination colt and he could prove best of the other newcomers, although it looks a tall order to win from stall 5 on his debut. Arts Guild may prove best of those with racecourse experience and he should come on plenty for his debut fourth behind Trimarran at Kempton. The market should prove a useful guide here but we will side with Mohathab to make a winning introduction to the racecourse.
