In depth

Verdict

Some fair form on offer here and it is Awinnersgame who gets the nod ahead of the unbeaten duo of Doctor Crane and Firebet. Jeremy Noseda's Kyllachy colt was a winner on his second start at Haydock and the earlier form of his debut second at York has been franked by the winner Lord Shanakill running third in the Coventry. The selection himself went on to be sixth in that race and he shapes as if this extra furlong should suit. Doctor Crane won well on his debut but this ground could turn soft and that may go against this horse, whilst Firebet only had to be pushed out to beat Tepmokea at Carlisle. That form may not be anything out of the ordinary but it was a taking debut and with the horse fine on softer ground and likely to love this extra distance, a big run could be on the cards. The Hannon team have some fine juveniles and Oratory must be respected; Polish Pride and Flying Lady add to an interesting line-up; however it is Awinnersgame who can shine.
