Ashridge Lad showed promise at Ascot and Harbour Patrol was third at Lingfield last time but he has a staying pedigree and may do better next season. Newmarket fourth Stoked is closely related to the useful Es Que Love, however, and has plenty of scope for improvement while Yeenaan was well backed on debut at Newcastle and can only improve. But there are a few well-bred newcomers in this including Victory Megastar, whose half-brother won over this trip on debut. Prince Of Cardamon won't be short of speed and is also worth a market check but the vote goes to BACKCOUNTRY, who is by Oasis Dream and out of the same dam that produced Nassau Stakes winner Winsili.
