Verdict

An interesting fillies' conditions event sees Max One Two Three, Sepia and Dream Day shortlisted, with Max One Two Three securing the vote. The selection met trouble in running before swooping late to score at Salisbury. Yes, she has to improve on that but she could well do so upped in trip today. Dream Day did the job professionally at Kempton last time and she can go well too, although she has to concede the field four pounds. Sepia is of interest given that she is a well-related Barry Hills-trained newcomer. Of the others, Mick Channon's 46,000 guineas purchase, Madame Hoi, Maimoona, who showed promise on her soft-ground Newmarket debut second to Upton Grey, Marchpane, who came good over course and distance last time, John Dunlop's Io, although she will probably need her debut run, and Rosa Grace, who won well at Thirsk last time - although she will need to improve on the bare form of that effort if she is to feature today - get mentions. The selection, though, is Max One Two Three.
