Mr Maynard won his maiden in good style at Kempton in August and should be winning a handicap sooner rather than later, but MAIN FOCUS makes more appeal today. The latter also won at Kempton when making all for an easy win over 6f and the runner-up, Pearl Mix, ran out a seven-length winner on his next start. John Gosden's charge is bred for further and can score on his handicap debut. Poetic Dancer has strong claims dropped in class after a narrow defeat at Doncaster last month, while Red Quartet bids for his hat-trick after a cosy win at York last time. Newcastle winner Van Der Art is still improving and steps up a furlong here, while Venetian View could prove best of the rest.
