In depth

Verdict

Calcutta, Able Baker Charlie and Torinmoor look the three to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Torinmoor. The selection should be spot-on for this having shaped encouragingly on both his starts so far this season. He was a good second behind Solo Flight at Newmarket last time and he gave the impression that day that his turn would not be far away. With conditions to suit he looks the one to be with. Calcutta rates as an obvious danger and he is a likeable type, but he is unproven over this trip and for that reason he is taken on today. Able Baker Charlie would have claims on the pick of his form but he has yet to hit top form this season and for that reason we will take him on. Hunting Lodge won well last time but will find this tougher, and we are happy to return to Torinmoor as our idea of the winner.
