Verdict

A bumper winner in France, Tony Star got off the mark on his hurdling debut at Huntingdon on his first start for Philip Hobbs and he could prove a useful recruit. However, he'll need to show rapid improvement to get the better of KID CASSIDY. The latter won a bumper and his hurdling debut at this course and found only the smart Hildisvini too good on soft ground at Sandown last time. He can return to winning ways in this company. Current Event was a disappointing favourite on his hurdling bow at Aintree but should be capable of better in time, while both Fontano and Katchmore should go well without being good enough.
