Verdict

Lady Zephyr is a game and consistent mare and she should be capable of giving weight away here, Countess Point and Marjina look to be the main rivals. The Nigel Twiston-Davies trained six-year-old has taken on some decent opposition since landing a couple of modest hurdles at Towcester and Warwick. Her recent second to Golden Bay under a big weight was a terrific performance and she will take all the beating here. Countess Point comes here following an excellent victory over Cossack Dancer at Newton Abbot. She receives six pounds from the selection and should be able to make a race of it. The best each-way proposition could be Marjina, she rarely runs a bad race and put up another promising effort last time when chasing home Patches at Wincanton, with the third well beaten off. Northern raider Golden Odyssey could prove best of the remainder, but Lady Zephyr has a touch of class and is a confident choice
