In depth

Verdict

Arthurs Secret probably needs further nowadays and has been disappointing in a couple of hurdle runs this term. My Renaissance won a novice chase in September but was then well beaten in a couple of starts on the Flat and hasn’t been seen since October. Something Brewing was fourth over 1m4f on Tapeta here in January, however, and Golden Jeffrey has won bumpers in the past and found 2m5f too far at Cheltenham in November. Royal Mandate has been lightly raced and shown ability, though does most of his racing at Musselburgh. Fair Loch is a useful 2m chaser but TYRELL confirmed his well-being by beating a subsequent winner over hurdles at Catterick last month and should go close again as he’s a much more consistent performer in blinkers.
