Nothing makes strong appeal in a modest finale and KI KI is only a tentative selection having been absent since the first day of November. The mare is, however, one of the very few in the line-up open to progression after just seven career starts and her last two runs suggest she's more than capable of picking up a low-grade handicap. Commanche wins in his turn but concedes weight all round and Napoleon Solo continues to suggest that he's not the most enthusiastic of performers, although it will be interesting to see how he handles this drop to sprint trips. Tango Sky and Spirit Of Wedza both make greater appeal on the back of recent useful efforts.
