None of these inspire much confidence but SAM PATCH ran well for second at Hexham in November. He had previous winner and today's rival Shoal Bay Dreamer well behind and can confirm running in the process of taking this. The latter is looking to bounce back from another modest effort at Carlisle, where Fightstar and Man Of Principles failed to complete, and she had earlier beaten Soul Angel at Hexham. The veteran Panthers Run was in decent form before finishing last in better company at Catterick and this is more his level.
