Verdict

Dual bumper winner Catching Shadows has failed to fire over hurdles and looked a few pounds high on his handicap debut at Wetherby. Suprise Vendor is a heavy ground specialist and won easily in those conditions at Ayr in January but finished a long way behind Oishin over this track and trip the previous month. That was in a lower class contest than this and the winner has been well beaten. MODULUS is a stayer who won easily over 2m4f at Uttoxeter before a moderate effort when favourite at Wetherby. Today's ground should make this a stamina test which can see him back in the winner's enclosure.
