Verdict

BERKSHIRE SHADOW faced some tough tasks last year but won a Listed race over 7f at Wolverhampton on his reappearance and first start as a gelding. The return to this longer trip is not a problem and he finished well ahead of The Wizard Of Eye in last year’s 2000 Guineas. The latter ended 2022 with a Listed success at Kempton while Positive has improved for being gelded and won a couple of decent handicaps at the turn of the year. Joseph O’Brien sends over San Andreas, who recorded his fifth victory at Dundalk last month, while Chichester won a handicap here back in January and is preferred to Lord Of The Lodge over today’s trip.
