In depth

Verdict

Bavington Bob landed a lower grade chase over track and trip last month though has won at this level over hurdles. Scoop The Pot also won here last month with Mr Scrumpy back in fourth but the latter re-opposes on more favourable terms while The Paddy Pie is back on a winning mark and placed at Carlisle last time. But the addition of first-time cheekpieces saw MANETTI return to winning ways in this grade at Ayr and Neil Alexander’s charge looks worth sticking with in this. Donna's Delight missed the whole of last year but is only 2lb higher than when landing a double at Ayr in early 2020.
