In depth

Verdict

GROUNDWORKER was narrowly beaten over track and trip on his penultimate start. He may prove good enough in this with a similar effort. Very First Blade is up 3lb for beating Whipphound at Catterick and the latter went on to beat A J Cook, Windforpower and Sir Geoffrey at the same track. Indian Pursuit has yet to race over the minimum trip and has just the one win in 16 starts while Pancake Day scored at Southwell early this year but hasn’t raced since May.
